Franco Bizzozzero was born in Cantù, a renowned hub for cabinet-making, in 1948. He was educated there and began his early research in the field by collaborating with magazines and teaching “Furniture Technique” at professional training centers.
After completing his scientific studies, he attended the Politecnico di Milano, where he graduated in 1973 with a thesis on “craftsmanship as an essential component in the structure of a territory.” As a designer, he is particularly passionate about industrial projects and business communication.
In the field of architecture, he is actively involved in planning and scenography for interior spaces. Beyond his professional work, Bizzozzero holds institutional roles, including serving as President of CLAC, a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting design and technological innovation in the wood-furniture sector for small and medium-sized enterprises. He also leads the “Gallery of Design and Furniture,” a permanent exhibition space showcasing the historical collection of the “Compasso d’Oro-ADI” awards. His work has led to increasing international engagement, including chairing meetings on the relationship between design and form.
His collaboration with Pierantonio Bonacina began in 1983 with a project to develop the company’s new corporate image. Over the years, he has contributed numerous designs to the Pierantonio Bonacina portfolio.
