Art deco coffee table, Danish design
Rare art deco coffee table, designed and produced by a Danish cabinet maker in the 1940’s. This table is often attributed to Andreas Tuck, but it doesn’t quite match his usual, more minimalist , slender style nor his choice of materials (often teak or oak). The stained beech frame on this table was combined with a plate of frosted glass and 3 decorative rings in brass, holding the frame together. There’s some small holes caused by woodworm, but most of them have been filled up and the table is completely treated so there’s no chance of any unwanted inhabitants. The frosted glass is missing a small chip on one of the edges but this is only visible when the glass is taken out of the wooden ring. Nice patina on the wood and overall in good condition, as shown in the pictures.
