Table lamp by Rudolf Dörfler, 1970’s
Rare table lamp, designed by Rudolf Dörfler and produced in Dornach, Switzerland in the 1970s. The sculptural base in ash wood ends in a beautiful acrylic lampshade that gives a nice atmospheric glow. The design language used on this lamp reflects the anthroposophical ideas of which Rudolf Steiner was the founder. Characteristic of this movement is, among other things, the design derived from nature and the use of natural materials. This lamp has been remade in the 1990’s with a different light switch, but this is the original early version. A light scratch on the top of the shade. Further in very good, original condition.
