Set of 2 ‘EA108’ desk chairs by Charles & Ray Eames
Two office chairs ‘EA108’ designed by Charles & Ray Eames in 1958 and produced by ICF Cadsana in Italy during the 1990’s. These classic chairs each have a five-star base and a frame with armrests made of die-cast aluminium, lightly padded seat with dark green into black Hopsak upholstery, a swivel mechanism and a manufacturer’s sticker label on the frame. ICF Cadsana had the licence officially only until 1987, therefore the label says ‘according to the original of Charles & Ray Eames” but the factory, production method, size and materials are all unchanged to the ‘official chairs’ they produced a few years before. The black hopsack upholstery shows a few lighter stains but is still in good condition. The chrome frames are in a very good condition.
