Lounge chair by Ingmar Relling (Sold)

Lounge chair ‘Siesta’ designed by Ingmar Relling and produced by Westnofa in Norway in the 1970’s. This Siesta chair has a stretch textile fabric in which a raspberry red leather seat is placed. The lightweight, heatbent frame in black lacquered beech wood makes this a chair that is as comfortable as easy to move around the room. With this chair, Relling made his pairing of design with ergonomics very clear. This is why the Siesta became on of the most iconic pieces in Danish midcentury design. The chair is in decent vintage condition, the leather has some darker staining and the fabric shows colour loss and wear on the edges, as shown in the pictures, hence the friendly price.
