‘Lotus’ dining table by Dyrlund
This flip-flap ‘Lotus’ dining table was designed and produced by Dyrlund in Denmark in the 1960’s. It’s a versatile piece that can be used as a round table for 4 or extended with 4 extra leaves that fold open like a lotus flower, to a table that can host 8 guests. Because the beautiful rosewood top was faded of years of exposure to sunlight, we sanded the top and brought back the original colour and fantastic details in the grain. This is a table of rare quality with brass hinges enabling the folding in this perfectly functioning mechanism. The leaves are tucked away very easily with a little lift of the main leaf and a simple push. A few using marks on the aprons, further in very good condition. Maker’s label still present on the bottom.
