Hanging lamp
This ‘PH5’ hanging ceiling lamp was designed by Poul Hennigsen and produced by Louis Poulsen in Denmark since 1958. Hennigsen wanted to create a lamp with which he wanted to capture the golden hour. He aimed to make a lamp that had no glaring bulbs but rather a diffused glow, hence why he used 3 shades to direct the light. The PH5 became an instant success and one of the most popular lamps in Danish midcentury design. The steel structure has a single light socket for E27 fitted lamps and is finished with a blue paint underneath. Missing a few chips of white paint on the edge but further in good, original condition.
