Coffee table
This rare coffee table designed and made in France during the 1960’s was clearly inspired by the T18 coffee table by master designer Pierre Chapo. The T18 were usually made with a top in lava stone or ceramic tiles and this one has a smoked glass top. The joinery on the corners is beautifully done and the elm wood shows a very nice, natural grain. Some water stains and one small chip missing on one of the legs, further in good condition. There’s an unfamiliar producer’s mark burnt into the frame on the underside. This piece came from a mountain chalet in the Haute-Savoie region.
