Art deco table, French design, 1950s (Sold)

This bistro table was designed and produced in France in the 1950’s. The teak stem comes out of a copper trumpet foot. The names like ‘Matteo + Sylvia’ carved in the side of the oak table top are silent witnesses of the lovebirds who shared this table over a drink or two. We believe the milk glass top was from a later date. There’s a black liner underneath. One leaf of the copper trumpet has a point that’s gone missing. The patina on the copper and inscriptions make this piece so caracterful. In good condition.
