Art deco 2-seater, Dutch design, 1920s
This 2-seater was designed and produced in the Netherlands in the 1920’s. We had them re-upholstered completely in checkered high quality ‘Lotura’ fabric by Design of the Times. With its checkerboard pattern, Lotura looks playful, yet luxurious and it’s a perfect contrasting combination with the rigid design of these boudoir chairs. This linen blend is the result of an artisanal process that combines yarn dye with piece dye, finished with a crafted stonewash for a supple feel and a profoundly layered look.
Also the frame wa checked in-house for stability, then the beechwood got stained again, true to their original dark brown walnut colour that is really a staple for art deco furniture from the 1920’s and 1930’s and then revarnished in 2 layers. This settee is now in very good, re-upholstered condition. We also have a matching set of 2 easy chairs available. We can offer the complete set at a discounted price.
