Travertine dining table, Belgian design, 1970’s
Dining table designed and produced in Belgium during the 1970’s. The top is a beautiful mosaic of small pieces of off white travertine stone. The table top is screwed onto a metal, circle-shaped ring, connected to 4 round metal legs. The legs are welded together in a cross shape. There’s a small chip out of the edge of the table and a few small rusty brown marks on the edge. The legs are patinated and show some form of corrosion but without touching the strength of this construction. The patina actually makes the piece looking even more attractive. A rare piece that would make a perfect table in a living space, kitchen or even outside on a sheltered terrace. It’s advised to not let it outside in the rain or cold.
